My name is Paolo Pachetti and I was born in Livorno (Tuscany - Italy) on March the 16th 1952.
I become geometer in 1973 but from 1973 to 1985 I worked for my familys’ factory as trader of metal builindgs.
My greatest passions have always been nature, Walt Disney’s Cartoons, music, technical drawing and visual art.
In 1986 I was the manager, barman and restaurateur of a seaside resort placed along the Tirrenic Coast.

In 1988 I become chiefbarman AIBES and Barman AIBES.

In 1990 The Bar Papillon was born in Livorno becoming , since the beginning, a fashionable place... and even more.

Since that time in my mind The Papillon could be not just a special place for aperitives, for the Americanbar service or for the catering. It needed something more, something able to amaze but also surprise cutomers, something able to spot The Papillon as a place famous for.....

So my mind became a cocktail of ideas mixing the technical drawing with fruits, my fantasy with visual art, the astonishment with compliments, the shapes of fruits with animals and the roundness of Walt Disney’s cartoons.

In 1990, as I was a lover of animals in general, I started watching fruits like little birds, parrots etc . I started gathering together some fruits just to have a quick view of the result. At the beginning this new idea seemed to be so funny bu then trying and trying again I noticed that something was really taking such an even more real shape, similar to cartoons. That’s why I started reproducing fruit sculptures similar to Walt Disney’s cartoons. The more I created fuit sculptures and the more I was amazed in seeing my creatures. I used to show all of them on the counterso you can imagine how surprised customers were to see such an unusual forn of art. My bar became the stage where, for six years, the fruit sculprures could act.

Thanks to my idea and driven by my friends suggestions in 1996I decided to register my method defined as “Papillon Method By Mr Paolo Pachetti - Italy” at the SIAE. It is a manual a manual with 120 explained pictures.

Going back to my new art, I was guested at some of the most popular TV programmes such as “Buona Domenica” on channel 5 with Maurizio Costanzo, at “Domenica In”, a programme on Channel 1 with Carlo Conti and many other TV apparitions for “Unomattina” and “In Famiglia”.

I’ve been studying and renewing my art trying to advertising it all over the world.

Very often I create fruit sculptures just to satisfy my crave for them. At that time some new ideas come out and I manage to improve the technique me myself I look for when I create a fruit sculpture.

Dating back to 1994 I developed my web site www.fruitsculptures.it spreading all over the world this new art. Thanks to internet many people knew about this art and they imported my name to their countries.

Las Vegas, Hong Kong and Barcellona discovered and appreciated my art that is why I am going to nourish these realtionships and some others where my art can be appreciated starting from Italy, otherwise we cannot talk about “Made in Italy”.

During the last few years I worked together with many Cuisine Schools suche as:

“Istituto superiore di arti culinarie Etoilè” – Venice

“Castalimenti” - Brescia

“Istituto Saint George Etoile” –Rome

“Istituto Les Clef” – Messina

My next aim is to create a school of “Fruit Sculptures Papillon Method By Mr Paolo Pachetti – Italy”among the hills of my beloved Tuscany.

Thanks to the online sale of my DVDs (multimedial manuals) many pupils are learning my art but they are not necessarily barmen, cooks or confectioners. All of them love art.
